LEEC supplies to new Silent Witness Set

AWARD WINNING CRIME DRAMA FEATURING LEEC EQUIPMENT

The set relocated from London to Birmingham in 2025 with the specialist equipment engineered to suit the industrial surroundings of the pathology suite. The successful crime drama featured a range of LEEC forensic, mortuary and pathology equipment on set. The stainless-steel designs featured on the BBC programme and served as a focal point for the actors when filming scenes within the suite.

A post-mortem autopsy table was used on set for performing dissections on dummy bodies. The five bay mortuary fridges and body trays were specially adapted for storage and autopsy investigations.

The Grossing Station plays an important role in processing tissue samples and was used as a backdrop for the laboratory area. The station was an authentic placement for the set design with its stainless-steel construction and ventilated worktops. All were customised and adapted to suit the production areas and film location.

The featured Specimen Cabinet with varying bays featured adjustable shelving to house multiple samples. The illuminated cabinet was designed to highlight specific tissue and specimen samples on set.

LEEC also supplied range of auxiliary equipment to the set including stainless steel cupboards, worktops, boot washes and sinks to complete the ambience of the set design.
