LEEC supply and install state of the art Histology equipment to Blackpool Victoria Hospitals new Histopathology Lab.
LEEC have recently completed a large scale installation of Histology equipment, as part of an integrated project to establish a new state of the art Histopathology Lab within Blackpool Victoria Hospital, part of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
LEEC worked closely with a specialist design Consultancy and the end users to translate possible concepts into approved equipment designs, which were then manufactured and installed by LEEC.

When the decision was made to move forward with plans for the new Histopathology Lab, it was clear that to meet and future proof the needs of the facility, specialist design consultation would be required. This was important to not only maximise the physical design of the laboratory workspace, but to ensure that the services installed would help safeguard staff, not only to current standards but, to future evolving regulations for containment and working practises. The facility, required to be state of the art in terms of building design and equipment, had to feature a strong element of resilience for regulations and working practises. A specialist design consultancy was appointed and tasked with designing such a facility. In order to match the state of the art lab design, the consultancy produced a provisional specification for tender. LEEC were successful in securing the tender and subsequently worked closely with the consultancy to finalise the design of the equipment to work alongside the building and LEV systems, and obtain client approval. LEEC are a leading specialist in the design and manufacture of histology equipment. Throughout the process we found LEEC to be open to our design ideas and willing to consider how a concept could be made technically feasible.
