Body Storage for the School of Life Sciences, University of Nottingham
Brief:
LEEC Ltd received a brief for the design, manufacture and installation of body storage cabinets for the School of Anatomy in Nottingham. The freezer units needed to replace the out-of-date cabinets and provide extra body storage within the facility.
Outcome:
LEEC recently manufactured, designed and installed a 6 bay, 5 tier body storage unit for a School of Anatomy in Nottingham. The storage cabinets fulfilled multiple criteria as requested by the client including the design of a space saving freezer unit within the facility. A range of body trays from sizes 560 to 660 were supplied for compatibility with the cabinet and tray transfer equipment.
All freezer cabinets were designed to maintain an ambient temperature between -18° and -20° with an RDM system fitted to alert the operator of any temperature changes.
All equipment was specifically designed to find the best solution and layout to support both staff and students within the facility. All equipment was efficiently supplied and fitted by LEEC’s very own installation team. LEEC has an extensive partnership with schools of anatomy and prides itself in supplying innovative design solutions for university hospitals worldwide.
