LEEC Managing Director awarded OBE in February 2022 awards investiture
It was a proud day for LEEC owner and Managing Director, Paul Venners, on Wednesday February 9th when he was invited to Windsor Castle to officially receive his OBE award.
They say good things are worth waiting for and this is something we have all become familiar with over the last couple of years. For Paul, the Investiture ceremony came following the announcement in the 2021 Queen's New Year's Honours List.
The investiture ceremony, whereby awardees are invited to be presented with their respective award by a member of the Royal Family, like many things, had been delayed because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Paul, awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to hospital mortuaries and post mortem facilities, particularly during the COVID-19 response. Paul had the pleasure of meeting Her Royal Highness Princess Anne.
Paul in his career has consulted to both the UK Home Office, contributed to NHS Hospital Building Note 20 and in 2020, was heavily involved with the UK Government's response to facilitate temporary Mortuaries for COVID-19.
